Merry Christmas!!!

I am quite late on my Christmas post.  But I thought it would be pretty lame if I actually blogged on Christmas.  -tangent- I don’t want to say “blogged” or “skyped” or “facebooking” anymore.  These are not real verbs and should not be treated as such.
I had a wonderful Christmas.  I missed being with my family, but since they live far away and are all in pieces now anyways, its easier anyways.  Plus since Michael works retail we can’t get time off around Christmas anyways.  It wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for, seeing as how I make plans for things without talking to other people about them, but it was nice anyways.

On Christmas morning you would think I was 5 years old again.  I got up at 8 am.  After going to bed around 2 or so.  I couldn’t wait to open my presents.  Unfortunately my dear husband does not get nearly as excited about things as I do, so I laid in bed playing games on my phone for an hour and a half.  Finally I decided that I would just get up and use the computer while I waited for him, but as I was getting dressed I noticed his phone was vibrating.  It was his mother.

Apparently we were supposed to be over there at 9 am.  It was now 9:30 so I brushed my hair and Michael got dressed and we left.  DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM HERE?!?!  I still have not gotten to open my presents!  Also, I was planning on continuing my family tradition of cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning.  Instead we had sausage and biscuits and eggs and bacon at Michael’s mom’s.  We opened presents there, then everyone decided to play a game.  We also decided we all needed giant sodas.  It was almost noon and most of my presents were still under my tree!  So we stopped and got them on the way to the store.  Then I opened them and we played games for a while and then we came back home.

I made Christmas dinner.  It was only for Michael, Dave (our roomate) and I, but still, I made it all by myself.  Turkey, stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes, chocolate pie, corn, green beans, salad and olives.  Obviously some parts of it were easier then others.  Amazingly it all turned out delicious.  We still have tons of turkey, which I am going to put in the freezer when I am done catching up on my blog.  I spend 3 hours in the kitchen and about 15 minutes in the dining room, but it was pretty awesome being told how yummy my food was.  Then it was back to the kitchen for an hour to clean up.

In the evening we just watched movies, but it was nice.  Plus Michael kept his promise and didn’t play any video games.  I don’t really care when he plays, I just didn’t want to be left out on Christmas.  Before we went to bed we drank a little.  I didn’t get drunk, as I only had 1 1/2 b*tch beers, but it was enough that I was to lazy to get off the couch and go to bed, so Michael carried me.
